NBA Weekly

The NBA Free Agent class for 2008 - Chad Ford ranks the free agents for the upcoming off season

Walker Wants Buy Out - Poor Antoine is stuck with the T'Wolves, he's not really that effective anymore, so I don't know if any teams would be interested in him anyway.

Magloire Joins Mavs - As I suspected here, the Mavs have signed a big man to replace DeSagana Diop. Gives them another 6 fouls to use on Tim Duncan, Amare, and Pau Gasol.

Cassell Buyout Hits Snag - It doesn't look like Sam Cassell is going anywhere. I also have seen that Cleveland wouldn't be interested in him. I don't understand this at all because I think Cassell is the perfect veteran this team needs for the playoffs to go along with Lebron. Carmelo Anthony and George Karl want him in Denver and I think he would fill a glaring need there but would have no chance at winning the championship. I think he ends up in Boston if he is bought out, which right now is still up in the air.

Update: Cassell bought out by Clippers

PJ Brown sign with Celtics - Good pickup for the Celtics, he's another big body to help Garnett & Perkins. Plus, he is a high character guy. They probably don't need him until the playoffs so that's plenty of time for him to get in shape.

Caron Butler has a torn laberal in his hip - If this is season ending then this team will be even more of a pushover in the playoffs, assuming they still make it and Arenas doesn't come back. It would be nice to see this team play with Arenas, Butler, and Jamison all at once, it's a shame we haven't seen it this season.
