There have been rumors that the Tampa Bay Rays(no longer the Devil Rays) are interested in signing Barry Bonds.
I think this would be a good idea for them because he is still a productive player and may be even more productive as a DH. Also, this team doesn't draw any fans at all and you would think having Bonds playing would draw some extra fans. Not to mention nobody even pays attention to this team so it would give them exposure at the very least.
The Rays are also interested in Kenny Lofton and Mike Piazza but I don't really see how either of these fit in.
