Today is opening day in MLB. Alot of bad weather around the country, so some games have been cancelled or delayed.
Now onto the links for the week:
Now onto the links for the week:
ESPN Writer's 2008 Predictions: Looks like they have the Detroit Tigers as the favorites to win the World Series with the Cleveland Indians close behind. Not sure why a couple of these guys picked the Atlanta Braves to win the World Series. I don't think they have enough offense plus they have Tom Glavine and Mike Hampton in their rotation.
Scouts say the Yankees should have traded for Johan Santana: I still think the Yankees made the right move by not trading for Santana. They might take some lumps this season but it will benefit them in the long run.
Andre Either beat out Juan Pierre for the starting LF job: Looks like Joe Torre is making the right move here. I would have liked to see Juan Pierre start for the rest of his career just to see how close he could get to 3,000 hits and be one of the worst Hall of Famers ever.
The Angels might have to trade for starting pitching: Now that Kelvim Escobar might be out for the season, I think the Angels good be in trouble in the pitching staff. However, they do have some internal options with Dustin Moseley taking over as 5th starter and Nick Adenhart in the minors waiting in the wings.
Finally, check out this play from last week of Joey Gathright jumping over the pitcher on his way to first base:
