2008 Little League World Series

The U.S. and International Championship games at the Little World Series are all set and will be played Saturday, starting at 12:30 PM ET.

In the International Championship, Japan will square off against Mexico, at 12:30 PM ET.

The U.S Championship is between Hawaii and Louisiana, at 3:30 PM ET.

No surprise to see the Japanese team in the International Final. They seem to be in it every year but Mexico should give them a run for their money. Personally, I was hoping Curacao would make it on the international side because I saw them hit some bombs in an earlier game against Italy.

On the U.S. side, it's surprising to see a team from Hawaii in the finals since it's not really a big baseball state. They play a lot of football there, but I guess these kids must have learned some baseball too because they are pretty damn good.

I'm always amazed at some of the plays these kids make at the Little World Series, it seems like every year they keep getting better and making more spectacular plays.

Also, here are some bonus photos of Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard at the POWERade Pro Challenge during the Little League World Series:
