As promised, here are some of Isaac Hayes songs along with some of the hip-hop songs that sampled Hayes. I also included some of my other favorites from Isaac Hayes, who passed away today at age 65. Isaac Hayes' music is reponsible for some ridiculously good hip hop songs that are classics.

The Lox joint is interesting because it samples the ending of "Ike's Mood", while the others sample the beginning parts. It's also one of my favorite joints off of the Lox first album.

Comments: Biggie's classic "Warning" sampled this song and then Isaac Hayes joined the Wu on their joint off of The W album. I love the string music on this joint that the Wu sample for their song.

Comments: One of the most unique samples ever, I don't think there is any other song that sounds like this one and this also happens to be my favorite Geto Boys song.

Comments: I don't think anyone has sampled this song but it is one of my favorite Isaac Hayes songs of all times because the horns on it are sick.
I'm sure I missed a bunch of joints that sampled Isaac Hayes and probably some original joints from Isaac himself that were tight, so if anyone has any other favorites just let me know in the comment section.

Kurupt managed to creep under the radar aorund '99 or so with a street 'sleeper' "Streetz Iz A Mutha" which also, at the hands of Daz Dillinger, elected to use the middle break as opposed to the oft used intro.
Walk On By:
in 1995 Bad Boy decided lightning would and could indeed strike twice for the label with a slowed down version "screwed" of the very sample used by the artist's estranged husband of the time. Indeed, Faith Evans would freak the slow tempo burner into her own infectious concoction "No Other Love" from her self-titled debut CD "Faith"
