NBA Playoffs Rundown

Cleveland 100 Washington 97: The story of this game is basically the shooting of Delonte West and the other role players who surround Lebron James. West knocked down 5 three's in the game and hit the game winning shot with 5 second left on the clock. Daniel Gibson also knocked down 4 three's and Cleveland had 13 three's in the game overall. On top of that, Cleveland also destroyed Washington on the boards 51 to 31.

Now down 3-1 in the series, it is going to be tough for Washington to come back and win obviously. They have to be pretty down after this game because they definitely had a chance to win this game and did not took advantage of the opportunity to tie the series up 2-2. I have said all along that they key to this series is the role players surrounding Lebron and that I don't think they are all that good. Well, the one thing they can do is shoot and you really can't give them wide open looks. If you take those looks away then I don't really see how this team can beat you, however, Washington has not been good enough defensively to do that.

Phoenix 105 San Antonio 86: Phoenix avoided the embarrassment of a sweep and robbed me of the opportunity to try and find the picture of them online that they were Gone Fishin'. Most likely this is too little too late for the Suns, so I really don't have much to say about this game. It was do or die for Phoenix and they responded by jumping all over the Spurs early and never looking back. Boris Diaw had a huge game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists, while playing tough defense on Tony Parker. Raja Bell also played well scoring 27 points and adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while hitting 5 of 7 from deep. The Spurs probably relaxed a little in this one, but I would expect them to play better in Game 5 at home.

Detroit 93 Philadelphia 84: Philadelphia really let this one slip away as they were up 10 at the half only to see Detroit come out in the 3rd quarter and outscore them 34-16. Tashaun Prince led the way shooting 11 for 12 from the floor and pouring in 23 points. Rasheed Wallace also added 20 points and 10 rebounds, while knocking down 4 shots from deep.

This series has been the most competitive so far and Game 4 was definitely a pivotal one for both teams. Detroit really rose to the occasion and avoided the disastrous situation of being down 3-1 to the 76ers. The momentum in this series has definitely swung to Detroit as they have to be feeling confident after winning this one and going back to Detroit for Game 5. It will be interesting to see how both teams react during Game 5 because you have to figure Detroit is going to turn it up a notch that the 76ers haven't seen yet in this series. The question is whether the 76ers will be able to match that intensity in a Game 5 situation that they have not been in before but that Detroit is so experienced in.

New Orleans 97 Dallas 84: Dallas had another poor performance offensively in this one. They just haven't been able to get it together on the offensive end. It just looks like Dallas picked a bad time to struggle with their offense. You would think Jason Kidd would be able to get his team some easy buckets but that hasn't been the cased and I think he's pretty much washed up at this point. Dirk and Jason Terry played decent but not spectacular and Josh Howard had an awful game shooting 3 of 15 from the floor. It looks like Dallas' time is up and I just have a feeling that Avery Johnson is not going to make it out of this series with his job.

For New Orleans, it was a team effort as 6 players scored in double figures. Chris Paul hit some tough shots down the stretch and finished 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. David West continues to shine in this series and he had 24 points and 9 boards. Jannero Pargo has been great off the bench in this series as well and he chipped in with 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Note: People need to step their game up on the videos. These were the best I could find on You Tube. I am going to search somewhere else for some better videos and will replace these if I find some.
