Congratulations to Chipper Jones, who hit home run # 400 of his career last night.
400 home runs does not mean the same thing as it used to but with a hitter of Chipper's caliber it is still something to celebrate. Chipper Jones will now focus on trying to reach another milestone, hitting over .400 for the whole season.
Jones is currently hitting .418 and while it is still early in the season, this is definitely something to watch as the season progresses. Jones also has 14 HR and 39 RBI, with a OBP% of .498 and SLG% .667. Chipper Jones' OPS+ for the season is a phenomenal 207.
