Tampa Bay Rays Make SS Tim Beckham # 1 Pick in MLB Draft

I don't follow the MLB Draft much because nobody really knows who half these guys are anyway. Sure we may have seen their names and the scouting reports a couple time but we aren't really familiar with any of them. Well, at least I'm not, just being honest. Anyway, I thought it was worth a mention that the Tampa Bay Rays made SS Tim Beckham the # 1 pick in the MLB Draft.

Beckham was recognized as one of the best pure athletes in the draft and labeled a legitimate five-tool player. He established himself as the top prep prospect in the nation with solid performances at last summer's high school showcase events and hit .482 with six homers, 13 doubles, 41 RBIs and 23 stolen bases as a senior. Looks like the Rays have a future stud on their hands. What's up with him having the old Devil Rays hat though? They should have got him the new one.
