Comments: Nobody in this game to really get too excited about. The Kings big men have trouble with fouls and turnovers though, but they were effective scoring the ball. Looks like Jaycee Carroll got picked up by the Raports team and had a decent first game for them.

Game 2 Boxscore: Charlotte Bobcats 81 LA Clippers 66

Al Thornton, LAC: 22 points, 7-12 FG, 7-8 FT, 7 rebounds, 1 block

Comments: Decent debut from D.J. Augustin but Charlotte doesn't have much else to get excited about. Othello Hunter played well though on the offensive end. Eric Gordon had a good all around performance for the Clippers and most importanly, he didn't turn the ball over. DeAndre Jordan continues to put up decent numbers and Al Thorton continues his domination of the Las Vegas Summer League.

Game 3 Boxscore: Denver Nuggets 99 Philadelphia 76ers 85

Notables:

Jamont Gordon, PHI: 12 points, 5-8 FG, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 turnovers
Marreese Speights, PHI: 14 points, 7-9 FG, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks
Thaddeus Young, PHI: 22 points, 7-21 FG, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals
Dawan Robinson, PHI: 4 points, 1-3 FG, 2 steals

Chris Lofton, DEN: DNP
Curtis Sumpter, DEN: 7 points, 3-7 FG, 6 rebounds, 1 steal
Sonny Weems, DEN: 17 points, 8-15 FG, 3 rebounds

Comments: Another strong effort from Marresse Speights, if he is able to perform decent off the bench for the 76ers to go along with the starting production of Elton Brand, then the 76ers might be able to do a little more damage in the East than expected. Thaddeus Young did as expected and played well. Nice game from Jamont Gordon as well, who did a little bit of everything finishing with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Sonny Weems played well for the Nuggets in his debut.

Game 4 Boxscore: Memphis Grizzlies 88 Milwaukee Bucks 79

Darrell Arthur, MEM: 10 points, 3-10 FG, 4 rebounds, 8 fouls, 1 block
Mike Conley. MEM: 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 turnovers

O.J. Mayo, MEM: 26 points, 9-19 FG, 4-6 3FG, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 4 turnovers
Brian Butch, MEM: DNP

Joe Alexander, MIL: 7 points, 2-13 FG, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block
Luc Mbah a Moute, MIL: 4 points, 2-7 FG, 7 rebounds, 1 assits, 1 steal, 1 block
Ramon Sessions, MIL: 12 points, 1-4 FG, 9 assists, 2 rebounds, 7 turnovers, 1 steal
Darius Washingston, MIL: 9 points, 3-7 FG, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 4 turnovers
Matt Freije, MIL: 11 points, 4-6 FG, 1 rebound, 1 assists, 1 block

Comments: O.J. Mayo was outstanding in this game, showing his ability to score and also knock down the NBA three-pointer. Darrell Arthur continues to struggle with fouling. Decent performances from Mike Conley and Javaris Crittenton but nothing spectacular. Joe Alexander struggled big time in his debut with the Bucks.
