Josh Hamilton Hits 28 Home Runs In the 1st Round of the Home Run Derby (Video)

If you don't believe that special things happen at Yankee Stadium after this, then I really don't know what else to tell you. How else can you explain someone hitting 28 home runs in the first round of the Home Run Derby? I remember back in the early 90's when guys like Frank Thomas hit 15 home runs and Cal Ripken, JR hit 12 home runs in a round and we thought that was a lot of home runs. Makes you wonder how juiced up these baseballs are.

The funny thing is Josh Hamilton didn't even win the Home Run Derby. He ended up losing in the final round to Justin Morneau, 5 to 3. If you ask me, they should carry the home runs over from round to round because the fact you can hit 28 home runs in one round and still lose is just ridiculous. Either way, it was a memorable night for baseball and for Josh Hamilton.
