Today is the first day of the Utah Summer League, more commonly known as the Rocky Mountain Revue. Just like the Orlando and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, I will be posting daily on all the games and the performances of certain players. This summer league also features some foreign teams and a team of D-League players but I don't expect to write much about them.

Game 1 Boxscore: Atlanta Hawks 89 Dallas Mavericks 74
Preview: Dallas is running with the same squad they are using in the Las Vegas Summer League. This is the first summer league game for the Atlanta Hawks though. Keep an eye on Othello Hunter and the progress of Acie Law.

Gerald Green, DAL: 20 points, 8-17 FG, 1 rebound, 2 assits, 1 steal

Comments: Disappointing game for Acie Law. I thought he would play better than he did, but we will see how he performs in his second game. Solid debut for Othello Hunter, who is so efficient on the offensive end. None of the Mavs rookies have stepped up in the summer league and Gerald Green continues to be their best player.
Game 2 Boxscore: San Antonio Spurs 8 Utah Jazz 57
Preview: Just like Dallas, the Spurs are running with the same team they used in Las Vegas. This is the first summer league game for the Utah Jazz and it also will be the debut of Kosta Koufos, who was their first round pick. I'm interested to see how he is going to play. The Jazz also brought in Earl Calloway, who played well in the Orlando Summer League for the Pacers.

George Hill, SA: 21 points, 6-14 FG, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals
Ian Mahinmi, SA: 9 points, 2-6 FG, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal
Kosta Koufos, UTH: 5 points, 1-3 FG, 4 rebounds, 1 block
Morris Almond, UTH: 17 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assits, 1 steals, 1 block

Comments: George Hill played well in the first game of the Utah Summer League after shooting a combined 0 for 16 in his last two games in Las Vegas. Kosta Koufos has an unimpressive debut for Utah. Not much else going on here except that the Jazz got clobbered.
