So yesterday I was going to do a post on the Kentucky Wildcats and how I thought they were going to end up making the NCAA Tournament but I decided to hold off and now it looks like that was a good idea.
Looks like their second leading scorer, freshman Patrick Patterson, is out for the rest of the season. Patterson is their main inside presence and was averaging 16.4 points per game and 7.7 rebounds, while shooting 57.4% from the field.

This will definitely be a big blow to their chances, especially with a game looming against Tennessee this weekend. I think with Patterson they might have had a chance to win, now it looks like it will be tough for them to do so. I still think they have a shot to make the tournament but I don't feel as strongly about that as I did before.
