76ers Beat Suns in Phoenix for 1st time in 6 Years

The 76ers beat the Suns in Phoenix tonight 119-114, their first win in Phoenix since 6 years ago.

Philly has been hot lately, winning 9 of their last 12, moving into 7th place in the East with an overall record of 27-33.

Now this is the East but this team has been playing well, especially Andre Miller, who has really stepped up his play of late, averaging 23.6 pts 7.6 ast and 4.8 rebs over the last 5 games. Andre Iguodala has been solid as usual and the emergence of rookie Thaddeus Young has also helped Philly.

If Philly keeps up their strong play, they could end up as high as the 6th seed in the East and I think they have a good chance to finish above .500. I have to give this team credit, they don't have the most talent in the world but they are scrappy and play hard and that is probably a credit to their coach Mo Cheeks.

Meanwhile, the Suns are really struggling and are now just 2-4 since the Shaq trade. Even if this team gets it together for the playoffs, I still think this trade will be their downfall because they are losing position in the West. Right now they are tied for 5th with Dallas but are only a 1/2 game ahead of 7th place Houston. I think this team gets knocked out in the first round if they don't have home court advantage.
