Philadelphia 95 Detroit 75: Wow, this has to be the shocker of the night. I'm not surprised that the 76ers won this game because I have been saying all along that this series would go at least 6 games. However, I am surprised that they beat Detroit so handily. I know Philadelphia is a good team but if Detroit wants to have any chance of making the NBA Finals, they need to play better than they did tonight or else they'll be lucky to make it out of the first round.
Samuel Dalembert was a beast in this game with 22 points and 16 rebounds and Andre Miller played real well also finishing with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. If you think about the 76ers are kind of built like a younger version of the Pistons only they probably aren't as good right now but still talented. Detroit should definitely be worried right now because they can't afford to let Philly gain anymore confidence in this series then they already have or they could be gone fishin'.

Dallas 97 New Orleans 87: Dallas played much better in this game then they did in the first two games of this series. They were able to control Chris Paul and held him to 16 points on 4 of 18 shooting. Now they probably won't be able to do that too often, so they should probably make sure that Jannero Pargo doesn't go off for 30 points in Game 4. However, the defense played good enough in this game to make this a series again and Game 4 should be a good one.
Offensively, Dirk finally took control and dominated this game with 32 points and 19 rebounds, hitting a variety of tough looking shots. He also added 6 assists. Definitely the type of performance you want to see from Dirk if you are a Mavs fan.
San Antonio 115 Phoenix 99: Well, so much for the Shaq experiment, at least for this season. San Antonio has now taken a commanding 3-0 lead in this series and it looks like the Suns could be the first team to be gone fishin' this season.
Phoenix could not stop Tony Parker in this game as he went off for a career high 41 points. He also added 12 assists and 5 rebounds for good measure. Ginobili and Duncan had their usual strong games as well and the Suns defense looks pretty suspect right now but that is no surprise. I thought this series would go 6 games but right now the Suns will be lucky to get past 4 games.
