NBA Weekly

Here's a couple of interesting rumors:

Ron Artest could be headed to the Dallas Mavericks to reunite with his ex-coach Rick Carlisle. Dallas needs a tough guy like Artest but as we all now the question is will Artest behave himself? Carlisle also said Dallas is going to run since Jason Kidd is at the point. This is kind of surprising because none of his other teams were really running teams, so it will be interesting how they do.

The Nets are talking to the Denver Nuggets about trading for Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby. The deal would send Vince Carter to the Nuggets but I've also seen rumors that the trade would be centered around Richard Jefferson, Sean Williams, and Marcus Williams. I think if the Nuggets got Jefferson and the two Williams that wouldn't be a bad trade for them but honestly I think they should fire George Karl and hire a coach who will get 'Melo's ass in check.

In other news:

In case you didn't know, Cavs Guard Daniel Gibson is out 2 weeks with a separated shoulder, which means he will be missing Game 6 against the Celtics. I would expect that Devin Brown would get some of his minutes now.

In other injury news, Chauncey Billups' hamstring should be healed in time for the Eastern Conference Finals. This will definitely be one of the bigger storylines of the East Finals and it will be interesting to see how effective Billups will be.

Mike D'Antoni says he will win with the Knicks and they will play a fast style of ball. This team right now has a ceiling of 7th or 8th in the East unless they make some changes to their roster.

Mark Jackson is on the radar of the Phoenix Suns for their coaching job and they are also interested in Kurt Rambis and Brian Shaw as well.

Check out the NBA All-Defensive Teams and the NBA All-Rookie Teams.

Charles Barkley owes a Vegas casino $400,000 from his gambling debts. That's probably chump change to Barkley though.

Also, here are the 2008 Orlando Pre-Draft Camp Rosters. I will be covering the Orlando Pre-Draft camp on a day to day basis, so make sure to check back for updates on which players are performing well. The camp is being held from May 27 - May 30.
