How tight is this commercial? Nike shows how it was LT and Troy Polamalu's fate to meet in the NFL. Much like the Kevin Garnett Gatorade commercial, I expect people to be wondering what the music is behind this commercial. The music featured in the commercial is The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone. I included the song below and don't forget that Jay-Z's Blueprint 2 joint that was produced by Charlamane samples Morricone's song, so I included that joint too.
Update: Some commenters noted that the version of the song in the commercial is actually a remix so here is that version: L Estasi Dell Oro (Bandini Remix) - Ennio Morricone
Music from the LaDainian Tomlinson & Troy Polamalu Nike-Leave Nothing Commercial: The Ecstasy of Gold - Ennio Morricone
Bonus: Blueprint 2 - Jay-Z

Thanks for the link to the Jay-Z song, but does anyone know a way to get the exact version of the song used in the commercial? It sounds like the Jay-Z song, with stronger beats, and without the rap vocals, of course.
ReplyDeleteIt would be cool to play at our high school games. Otherwise, I'll stick to Ennio Morricone's original, or the cult-classic version by Metallica.
Also - super versions by Metallica
ReplyDeleteJoe Im looking for the version from the commercial also. I think it is the original, but without the drum beat, its a hip-hop beat, a little similar to Jay-z's version. Anyone?
ReplyDeleteThe name of the song is L'Estasi Dell' Oro it is on Ennio Morricone Remixes Volume 2 available on iTunes.
ReplyDeletewhat is the name of the metallica song?
ReplyDeletethanks anonymous!! You were right: it is L'Estasi Dell' Oro and it is on Ennio Morricone Remixes Volume 2 on iTunes. Great remix. Good find.
ReplyDeleteLove the way the director used L'Estasi Dell' Oro -- which was the music in the final gunfight in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
ReplyDeleteJAKE... if you translate "L'Estasi Dell' Oro", you get "The Ecstacy of Gold". Search that, and then find the Metallica version. You'll find it easily. Yeah...METALLICA, baby!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, thanks for pointing me to the Morricone Remix CD... I saw it on iTunes, but did not seach the contents enough. Also having the the untranslated title "L'Estasi Dell' Oro" helped a lot. Thanks!
