Barack Obama Elected 44th President of The United States - (Victory Speech Video)

In case you missed it last night, Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States. Words can't explain how happy and excited I am to see this happen. The youth of America had a huge part in electing Obama as President and we have played a huge part in what hopefully is a change in American politics. I truly feel like I am a part of history and a movement to make this country a better place.

This is just another example of why this is the greatest country in the world. I'm still soaking this all in and trying to make sense of it, but one thing is for sure, America has gotten it's swagger back and we can truly say we are proud to be Americans once again, something a lot of us could not do with the previous administration in office.

  6. Can you say socialism? I can't believe we voted for someone who wants to legalize stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. And no I'm not rich. Well, atleast Barack Hussein Obama will be speaking most of the time instead of that smart alec, Joe Biden. Go Panthers...Go Socialism!

  7. What an amazing day in American history! Dreams do come true! Did you all see how Oprah Winfrey revealed this week that she uses a vision board to visualize her goals and harness the power of intention? Oprah created a vision board, months ago, that emphasized Obama as president and the gown she intended to wear during his imagined inauguration.

For anybody who doesn’t know, a vision board is collage of image that symbolizes a desired outcome. By looking at these images daily and imagining these desired outcomes – like accomplishing a goal – your brain becomes more honed in to making this reality. Many top athletes, entrepreneurs, presidents, and philanthropists have used vision boards to help them accomplish their goals.

You can go to TheVisionBoardKit.com for a downloadable free chapter that includes the eight basic ingredients of a successful vision board.

  8. I look at it like this. Those who are more well off can afford to give up some money in order for the greater good of the country. These people have more than enough money to live a good life, they need to learn to adjust their extravagant lifestyles. This is not socialism. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that taking a few bucks from the rich and distibuting it to the less fortunate and middle class is going to elevate them to upper class status. Their will still be a well defined upper class who will have most of the power in the country. The middle class and less fortunate will just have a little extra cash to help make their lives easier. Socialism? Give me a break. Obama is not going to be making middle class people into millionaires.

  9. I can't believe how many really stupid people live in the United States! To actually go out and elect a person of questionable background and limited ability to now, tell us how to live and who is going to get our hard earned income, and retirement. I know it is not going to take long for the idiots to figure out they were wrong - it will show up in your paycheck, and the increase of thugs on the street! Just wait.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I didn't know graduating law school and serving in the senate gave someone a questionable background. Please you do not have to like Obama's views or plans for this country and I will respect that, but to question the man's character and background is just ignorant.

  11. I notice he never mentioned those retired senior citizens living on their meager paid-into-fund of Social Security, and worsening value of their investments. We Seniors do not go out and earn anything, not that we would be hired, anyway. What is going to happen to us? Nothing. It is just going to get worse, and we will eventually probably lose our homes, too.
This is how Hitler came to power. Too bad the kids did not learn about that in school.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Comparing Obama to Hitler is just out of line. As Obama said yesterday, he is the President of us all now and last time I checked that includes seniors. There are a lot of people who's retirement is affected by this recession, but we need to stick together and get this country back on the right track. It's not Obama's fault we have a recession and I'm confident he will do his best to bring in policies to help anyone who is in need and not living a life of wealth.

  13. Look at it like this, Antone. Since you live a lot better than billions of people all over the world, I am going to try and pass a law that will take all but about $10,000 of your annual income (and others who voted for Obama/Biden) and distribute it among the rest of the real poor people in the world. This will in no wise make any of them rich but according to you, it will be "for the greater good" of the world.

Besides, Antone, you can't speed up a caboose by slowing down the engine. Do you think that by taxing the job creating wealthy class and distributing that money among the poor and middle class that it will create more jobs and make the poor and middle class better off? I think history would prove otherwise.

And just because he has a law degree and served on the senate for a few months, doesn't mean he can't have a questionable background. What the commenter was referring to was his associations with radicals. Just google the name Ayers, will you please?

  14. wow, times change, people change, its time for a government to change with the people. otherwise the system is out of date compared to what everyone is doing. he won. You mccain supporters need to chill out, mccain gave the best speech last night handing over the presidency to obama with such dignity and grace, you want to follow him? follow him by acting in accordance and having respect for one another. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCqVcWzzO74

  15. "Against B.O." and those of his/her ilk fail to realize that the reason they lost is because people rejected the politics of negativity and division. It's amazing that their room-temperature IQs still prevent them from realizing this.

  16. Barak did it! I had no doubt he would! Well while in the craziness of the election, make sure you check Shontelle and her video for her new song "Battle Cry."

  17. You're right, Mark and Haley. We do need a lot less negativity and division. Despite my disagreements with Obama's policies and his associations with people I don't trust, I will support him whole heartedly because he is our President. I sincerely hope he can get us out of our current financial and energy situation and uphold the morals and the freedoms that God gave us. Forgive for my venting.

  18. Great idea of giving my money away, except for two things. 1) We aren't talking about the world we are just talking about this country. 2.) I'm not well off enough to be able to afford to give up $10,000. We are talking about taxing people who live very, very, very, good lives here.

Plus, there's a good chance the poor, etc. are going to put the money back into the economy anyway and most of it will just end up in the hands of the rich in the end anyway, so I don't see what the big issue is.

I know who Bill Ayers is, but he is not Obama. Obama stands on his own and we shouldn't judge people by the company they keep. This is part of the problem in this country. I for one am fascinated with people who are different than me and feel like you could learn a lot about the thought process of other people by simply engaging in conversation with them. It doesn't mean we agree with their thoughts, but it encourages conversation and new thought, it doesn't mean you agree with everything that person has to say though.

I might associate with people who do things on their own time that I don't agree with. There is nothing illegal about that and it doesn't mean I am a bad person. It's possible they have other things to offer of value. Can you at least agree on that?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Antone, just remember that just because it's called a "tax", doesn't mean it's not stealing. Your forefather's died so that we could avoid taxation like this.

And yes, if you closely associate with and do business with people who can't be trusted, then your integrity is compromised.

  20. Congratulations Barack. Let's all hope for a better tomorrow.

  21. Hey, I pay taxes too, so believe me I understand the concept, but once again there is a big difference between someone who makes $250,000 a year and someone who makes $40,000 or less a year.

You can't really call it stealing unless you refer to all taxes as stealing. In that case, they are stealing from me too. Just because your tax is a little more than mine doesn't mean that extra tax you have is stealing. How much of a tax increase are we really talking about here anyway?

I think the bigger problem is that people of all classes don't know how to adapt when their situation changes. I think it's tougher for those who have always been the HAVES to adapt when a little something gets taken away from them, but too bad they should have to learn to adapt. It could actually be a good thing for them, because they might be forced to come up with a new way for them to make money. It can't hurt to put that mind to work and create some new thought.

I still think the actions of a man should stand on his own and honestly all I really want from my politicians character wise is to stay out of trouble. If they are doing their job, I'm not really worried about who they associate with as long as it's not illegal. As far as I know, Obama has never been in any kind of trouble and I put more weight in that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well there you have it, Antone. Looks like you have high hopes for Obama. So apparently, all he needs to do is "stay out of trouble", and then you'll let him do anything "as long as it's not illegal". You go boy! You let him legalize anything he and his radical socialist friends want. I think I'll bow out of this conversation, now that I know to what high standards you hold yourself and our new president. Thanks for helping me gain a better perspective on what kind of people voted for Obama and why.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Actually you just gave a good picture of McCain voters, because I was talking about character wise only, not policy.

  24. I loved the unity of the people, all different races and backgrounds. The hip hop movement really did their thang. I heard all the Obama mixes on the radio and they wouldn't stop playing that Shontelle Battle Cry song

  25. For the person who said that they can't believe how many stupid people there are in America, that would vote for a person of questionable background and ability... Did you ever hear of a dumbass named G. W. Bush? Apparently a lot of stupid people elected him... TWICE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, we should feel proud what we have accomplished as a nation...where blacks voted around 95% for Obama. Racism is back...this time guess who is the victim?

    ReplyDelete
  27. With Obama's new tax policies the upper class's taxes could increase a large amount. Does no one remember Reagan's absolute truth? Those making over 250,000$ are your employers. The people who decide how much you get paid. If Obama taxes them 3% more and they make 10 times more than you they will simply pay you 30% less. They control everything because they have the intellect and the power to do so. Good luck average Joe.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well now that the blacks have the white house they can no longer say that the man is putting them down. Perhaps now true equality will ring throughout America. No more Affirmative Action or Black Scholorship programs. Say hello to the National Association for the Advancement of White People. If we are truly equal let us really be defined by the content of our character not by the color of our skin.

  32. LOL. Reps there don't have any high buildings to jump off of! MAN they really are brainwashed aren't they. Fearful! and sad! I think Obama has a really tough job to do and it may take some time but even the Repubs will do alright.

The biggest thing for me is Capitalists want to guide their own ships to wherever they want to go with no interference from government. UNTIL things go really bad because of bad business and corporate decisions and no regulations to protect the public, Their "socialization" programs are lumped into a $700 billion dollar bailout to save their sorry asses! I believe in free enterprise and capitalizm to a big degree. However failure is part of it. There would be not bailouts if they couldn't have done suspect illegal activities or used bad business models to run thier profit making machines without their own consequences.

What happens when your family makes a bad financial decision? Who bails you out? You set your own rules and decision making processes. Does a family go to the govt trough and ask for assistance? GOOD LUCK. So why do the people we hire (elect) have the right to let this happen for bad big corporations and Wall Street decisions? Where is the publics protection from the people who we entrust with making laws against abuses in handling our hard earned money, pensions and freedoms to succeed? I think yesterday just answered thes questions.

What I really don't understand about Republican philosophy and calling themselves christian you would think they would want to look after the less fortunate in protecting a retirement system, the BEST education for everyone, a healthcare system that doesn't just cater to the bottom lines of big pharmas and insurance carriers, protecting the citizens from unscrupulous practises of Wall Street and finally making "made in America" important and keeping Americans employed rather that giving huge tax incentives to outsource profits and employment.

A lot of greed and lack of scrutiny and oversight caused this crisis. It has effected the world economy and will take strong will, good policies and guidance to get things back to normal, if there is such a thing. The past overtones of enough is never enough under any circumstance of whomever gets hurt has to stop. You don't take away incentives but can give rewards for sacrifice.

What happened yesterday is historic in more than just the ethnic meaning. It is hopefully a way to bring control back to the people and for all of the people. If it means that big business and the rich have to redistribute their incentives, SO BE IT. We are ALL Americans.

As a great author, today characterized this event. "America is Just Growing Up". The people have spoken. The Republican base powers have finally admitted openly that they didn't think that people were so passionate about the wrongs of the past 8 years. These voter groups called their bluff on the effects of fear mongering against Dems with the Democratic control. They underestimated the power of the ethnicinities, women voters and even more so the young people who finally called BS. They also admitted that they need to pay more attention to what affects these groups who did them in.

This is ALL GOOD and the sooner that people get over themselves and learn to work together as Americans the sooner things will recover and the better off all will be.

"WE the PEOPLE. FOR the PEOPLE and BY the PEOPLE" needs to be redefined as priorities by our elected officials. There is enough to meet these needs if these priorities are true.

    Dwayne
