Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice Inducted Into The Baseball Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice for getting inducted in to the Hall of Fame.

Looking at the ballot next year, I would like to see Roberto Alomar, Barry Larkin, and Fred McGriff all make the Hall of Fame. Andre Dawson just missed this year with 67% of the vote. I think he will make it eventually, probably in the last season he is eligible just like Jim Rice. Can't wait to hear Rickey Henderson's induction speech, should be a classic.

  1. I was with you until you said Fred McGriff. I mean, Crime Dog used to play for ATL and he was my dude, but he ain't a Hall of Famer. Sorry.

  2. It's debatable at least:
    493 HR(26th all-time)
    1,550 RBI(40th all-time)
    1,305 walks(36th all-time)
    4,458 Total Bases(45th all-time)
    .886 On Base + Slugging(81st all-time)

He was the big bat on those Braves teams of the mid-90's and has way better numbers than another Hall of Fame 1B Tony Perez.

  3. If fans were able to elect players, Rice would have been a part of the Hall of Fame a long time ago. He has had some of the best picture perfect moments in baseball, many worth noting as he is inducted.
