Only two games last night and both Cleveland and Utah took control of their series taking 2-0 leads over Washington and Houston respectively.
Cleveland 116 Washington 86: To me the story of this game was just how awful Washington played. They took way too many jump shots and did not look in sync on offense at all. To me they bitched out on offense and I was really disappointed with that. Maybe going home for Game 3 will change things a little and get them back in rhythm.
I picked the Wizards in 7 in this series but to do that they are going to have to win all 3 of their home games and then steal one in Cleveland. Right now though this series is looking more likely to be a sweep then to go 7 games no matter who wins. I really don't think Cleveland is that good but they do have a solid defense. One thing that is for sure is that Washington can't let Wally Szczerbiak go off for 15 points again.
Utah 90 Houston 86: This was obviously a better game than the first one as it was close the whole way. Utah has now taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the series and is now headed back home where they are 37-4 on the season. Yup, that's right, they have only lost 4 times the whole season at home. We could be seeing a sweep here and I don't think this one gets past 5 games. Looks like McGrady won't get out of the first round once again, not that it's his fault since Utah has a better team than Houston and was expected to win this series from the get go.
