Boston 89 Cleveland 73: After watching this game, one this is for sure, the Boston Celtics defense is no joke. The Celtics once again locked down Lebron James in this game as he finished with 21 points but shot only 6 of 24 from the floor and comitted 7 turnovers. The Boston offense may be a little shakey at times but when they are at home their defense does not waver a bit.
Lebron is now 8 of 42 from the floor in this series with 17 turnovers, think about that for a second. Never in my mind would I have thought Lebron James would be 8 of 42 from the floor with 17 turnovers after the first two games of this series. That is beyond awful and the Celtics defense is definitely the main reason for Lebron's struggles. In fact, the only player on the Cavs that the Celtics have not been able to contain is Zyrdunas Ilgauskus who had another strong game with 19 points on 9 of 12 from the floor. The role players have been non-existent for the Cavs so far in this series, so with Lebron struggling as well it is no surprise the Cavs are headed home in 2-0 hole.
The Celtics got another balanced effort on offensive and both Paul Pierce and Ray Allen performed much better than in Game 1. Pierce finished with 19 points and 6 rebounds and continued to play solid D on Lebron at points throughout the game. Allen finished with 16 points after failing to score in Game 1 of the series. Kevin Garnett also pitched in with 13 points and 12 rebounds and the Celtics bench was huge in this one combining for 34 points, 17 rebounds, and only 2 turnovers.
I am not surprised the Celtics have won the first two games of the series and now the fun begins as the questions will start about whether or not they can win on the road in the playoffs. I'm sure the Celtics will want to make a statement in Game 3 because if they lose that game then it puts even more pressure on them to win Game 4 and before you know it they could be tied 2-2. I fully expect the Celtics to come out aggressive in Game 3 and try to take complete control of this series.

San Antonio 110 New Orleans 99: This was a great game to watch because the style was fast paced and Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Chris Paul all put on a show. In the end, the Spurs came out on top and now have a chance to even the series 2-2 in Game 4.
The Spurs really picked it up on offense at home in Game 3. Parker and Ginobili both went off in this one as the scored 31 points a piece and combined for 17 assists and 8 rebounds to lead the Spurs to vistory. Both of these guys were unstoppable in this game and it was fun to watch. Tim Duncan chipped in for the Spurs with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
For the Hornets, Chris Paul had another great game and he finished with 35 points and 9 assists. Paul was matching baskets with Parker the whole night in what turned out to be a duel of the point guards. David West chipped in with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets and I continue to be impressed with his game. The difference for the Hornets in this game was Peja Stojakovic, who finished with only 8 points on 2 of 7 shooting. In the first two games, Peja was scoring over 20 points a game and gave them that third scorer to go along with Paul and West. However, without Peja scoring much in this game, it took away one of the Hornets options and left them without anyone to fill that third scorer void.
Now if I were the Hornets, I would be a little concerned about Tim Duncan in Game 4 because he still has yet to have a big game and it is only a matter of time before he does so. The Spurs can't continue to rely on Ginobili and Parker to score 30 a night for them to win and Duncan is going to have to step up at some point. It is no surprise that the Spurs have won so many championships when you look at the way Ginobili and Parker played last night. Not too many teams have two guys capable of scoring 30 points on any given night plus Tim Duncan to top it off. That being said, I am predicting a monster game from Tim Duncan in Game 4. I think he will come through with 30 plus points and lead the Spurs to victory.
